I am no marathon man but will run a 5K or two every year. With the recent tragic events that took place in the seacoast of NH and both my brother in-laws in law enforcement I wanted to get out and help support the families involved in this tragedy.
This run crossed the seacoast starting at Portsmouth PD and ending at Greenland PD where Chief Maloney was from. Total of 5.6 miles
This event was setup in just 2 weeks and ended today with a whopping 2100 runners. I have never been involved in a memorial run and was very surprised at the turnout and the emotion that we were surrounded by.
Take a look here at a couple of the local coverage that was on site!

Thank you to all my CP Brothers and Sisters that are behind the badge or are USA Military!

I'm going with #17XX. Face half cut off like my mother-in-law took the picture. Is that you? :D

Congratulations, and a great cause to run.

Lol nope that how ever is one of my brother in-laws. He was 174

I'm the tall sob in the middle 169...

Thank you for showing support for a great cause! I'm a deputy sheriff in LA and I am always so thankful for those who support our profession, as well as our military. We tend to be forgotten by a lot of folks or just viewed in a negative light. It's very refreshing to see this. We don't do it for the thanks, but I'd be a liar if I didn't say it was motivating to get a thank you.

Well the wife, both brother in-laws, their wives and myself got out again for the 2nd annual Charity Run for Chief Maloney and the Charity's in his name. It was a beautiful day for a run out on the seacoast and unlike last year I did not drink heavy the night before this run. I finished the 5.6 mile run pretty well at 57 mins. the turnout was great at over 2200 runners/walkers.

Coming up to the finish...
