While this cigar only holds a 42 ring guage, it felt full of life. I enjoyed one on this restful afternoon outside in the lower-than-normal temperatures of North Texas. I found this Corona Grande to be mediocre in build, smooth in taste, and a solid role player in my humidor. The cigar is not made to be a masterpiece (no pun intended) but rather a reliable smoke that fills the role well. It was not overly amazing, but it was complex enough that a seasoned consumer of tobacco products would find it tasteful.

The overall smoke was right there in-between thick and thin. Not too creamy, but certainly not Macanudo/air-like. I found this to be a great smoke for an afternoon when a cigar will add to the day but not make the day. Don't let the size fool you, this is a good smoke that will satisfy your wants for the taste of quality tobacco.

There were smooth flavors present, though I am not experienced enough to describe them more than soft and clearly present. It's not an overpowering cigar, but it is certainly a cigar.

I nubbed this one before it could get hot, but I really doubt it would have burned too badly if I had smoked it all the way down. It was an easy draw, but never harsh to the smoker. Two small draws will get you enough flavor & smoke to last a while.

This was an off-the-truck experience and I am guessing these will improve with age. They were in remarkably good shape considering that I had just received them via UPS.

I would enjoy a Royal Jamica Corona Grande again at a retail price. :D

i bought a box of the gauchos.
slightly bigger than a cigarillo. they were great. kind of different tatsing and spicy. i really enjoyed them.
haven't tried the larger version but will now.
thanks for the review. :D

I had one not too long ago with a 52-54 ring gauge. A fairly mild cigar. Much like many Macs I had. Nice dark wrapper with a decent burn. Would go for another again with a morning coffee.
