Hey Guys!

First online review for me, let me know if there are things I can add or Improve.

Smoked: March 27th 2021
Age: October 2019
Stored Humidity 63-64%
Appearance: Smooth and Oily. Minimal veins.
Smell: Cedar, Hay and Leather
Draw: Perfect Medium
Strength: Light/Medium
Burn: 4/5 pretty good considering it was windy outside.

This Cigar tasted the same all the way through, So I will not split into 3rds.

This stick gave me notes of Cedar, Peanuts and once I added the Glenmorangie (15 minutes in) I got more Vanilla.

Overall not a cigar I enjoyed. Everything was great except for the taste. This was the 4rth out of 5 I have smoked since I got them, and they don't seem to get any better with age. So I might try aging the last one another 2+ years and see what happens.

Overall rating: 7/10
I don't think I will be buying again.

And for those that want quick info on The Glenmorangie 10... Very light, Pear, Citrus and vanilla. To be honest I expected a lot more sweetness, other reviewers seemed to get all these flavors I wasn't really getting. I Guess Glenlivet is still King of fruity sweetness for me. Overall still good 8/10.

I hope next review will be a better one!

Interesting. I have recently had a few 2020's and thought they were very good and plan to keep some in stock.

Too bad you didn't like them. Always sucks to get a disappointing cigar

You might be right, might just be a bad year. I had the RYJ Piramides at a lounge 2 years ago and it was one of my favorite cigars. It was the reason why I purchased a Box of these. Figured it would have similar taste.

Hopefully you just had a one-off dud and enjoy the rest of the box. It would suck being stuck with a whole box of Cigars you don't like.
One of the reasons I always buy multiple singles or 3,4 and 5 packs, especially of something new (although it does limit how many new ones I can try which sucks, as many are only available in boxes.

Buying a few sticks (before committing to a box purchase) is actually good advice.
I have done this with several blends & it typically works out well.

Can I ask a quick question, how long have you had that stick, and how long was it at 63/64% ?
Purchased in Cuba in November 2019. Been at that Humidity ever since. I keep all my cigars at that level. Why?

I was just curious. I was wondering if dry boxing it would help any but you stick pretty close to dry boxing humidity anyway so I don't think it would be any drastic change.

I dry box only when I travel, never noticed a difference to be honest. My Palate might not be at those aficionado levels though lol.

Probably dried out just a bit at that humidity... if you are storing long term, like over a year, keep your humidity around 68%, then dry box for a few days around 61 to 62% right before you smoke it.
I dont think the humidity is the reason why I wasnt of fan of the taste. Iv been smoking at these levels for a few years now and most of the cigars iv had were ok. And my friend who owns the other half of this box likes them a lot more than I do (i store it for him).

I think Bills point was not only about this cigar but also a recommendation of what humidity to store/age your cigars at. To each their own.
