I have to preface this review with a disclaimer, any mention of apparent "chocolate" flavors are purly speculative on my part, I'm allergic to Cocoa and any of it's derivatives, and therefore my ability to recognize this flavor trait may be off (but I'm pretty sure on this one).

ROCKY PATEL CUBAN BLEND MINI BELICOSO
5x48, firm, no soft spots
Very shiny, very oily maduro wrapper, minimal light viening, a beautiful looking cigar.
Cut was clean and straight.
Pre-light draw was easy, tasted of nutmeg and grassy herbs.
easily flamed the foot creating a smooth even ember

1st third:
Sweet spices and some pepper with a dark roasted coffee undercurrent.

Middle third:
Coffee flavor matures into a rich velvety smooth expresso latte with chocolate and hints of nutmeg, leather, and warm earth. Flavor development is coming on strong, but not harsh.

Last third:
Strong coffee and chocolate are the prevelent flavors with touches of sweet spice and grass. Full flavored and full bodied. Very yummy.

Finish:
The finish was smooth and long lasting, the coffee and chocolate flavors carried longer over the spices and grass.

A very fine 50 minute smoke, recommended.

Man, you make it sound so good. :)

I have four of these left. I smoked one, but don't remember much from it. I wasn't really smoking it to taste it, though, if you know what I mean. Was during a poker game, I think.

I'll have to break out one of the others and really taste it.

This was one of my favorites and definately a goto cigar for me. That is, before I came to this site and got corrupted. I have a box of these with a "Do not Open" sign on it waithing for next fall and it's first birthday.

Nice review!

Nice review!! I enjoy those cigars. I keep a box handy for a change of pace. It is one of those cigars that is under the radar.

Nope, that one has a good six or seven months on it right now. Smoke it!
