Wrapper : Cameroon
Binder : Nicaraguan
Filler : Nicaraguan and Dominican
I smoked the Rocky Patel Cameroon 2003 last night and thought I would share my thoughts.
I Smoked the 7" Churchill for about $9.50
Overall it was a very consistant cigar, not many flavor changes.
It is a beautiful cigar i love the cobalt blue wrapper it comes in.
First light reveals a blast of spice espcially present when rolled through the nose.
This spice drops about an inch in, and it turns to wood and vanilla bean through the first third.
Second third the spice kicks back up for the majority of the second third, leaving a good spice on the tounge for a medium finish. Body turns from mild-medium, to medium.
The last third returns to vanilla and wood flavor and adds some leather in with it.
I was satisfied with this cigar as it lasted me about 2 hours and 15 min for less than 10 bucks. Good value, decent tastes. Ive never been ecstatic about Rocky Patel's "Vintage" series, but this is the best one in my opinion. Definiately the mildest cigar in their vintage series.
One thing i was displeased with was the construction, there were a lot of breaks and cracks in the cameroon wrapper.
Overall, decent cigar, i'd give it an honest 88 rating.
Any thoughts, comments, questions, disagreements?
