Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage Churchill

Hey Hudson,

I'm always up to be convinced otherwise. :) Its always possible the sticks I got were bad. Besides, one man's "just okay" cigar is another man's holy grail. :p

What exactly would A blue collar pass be? One with no Isoms or one with No snobs? :p

Yeah, I just disagree with the review. It could be the size. I just had a 92 robusto today and it was just wonderful, IMO. There is a flavor there that I just can't describe but love. It's all in the palate of the smoker, I suppose.

You can all send me these disgusting sticks and I will dispose of them properly. :D

Well, the construction is nice, but the complexity just isn't there. Wait....... ??? ??? are we talking about the Patel '90 or the gal.? ???

I'm part Indian....let me show you which part :p

I liked the 1990... reminded me of a Hemi classic or signature but not a DC Presidentie.

I've had people tell me it tastes just like a PAM... I don't get that at all, though :/

To me, it tastes exactly like the PAM. A deep, rich "damp wood" taste as one reviewer has called it. That is the only description that I can find that best describes the flavor in it. I've had more than my fair share of these, and I have yet to have a bad one.

Didn't really get a lot from this smoke. Yes it had a great draw, burn, and ash; but the flavor just wasn't there. Is this the Sungrown version or maduro version?

Had my first today (although it was a toro). I was looking forward to it since there have been quite a few good reviews on this smoke (even with the subpar ones). However, I found it to be quite disappointing! To compare this to a PAM was laughable to me. I splurged this weekend and had one PAM and one '26, so these were fresh in my mind. The RP wasn't even close in terms of the richness and flavor that the Padrons offer. It sort of tasted grassy and just flat out lacked the rich flavor that I was hoping for. Perhaps I just had a bad smoke. Well hell, since I've got 9 more in my humi, I'll definitely try another. Maybe I'll have a different opinion after the next smoke. However for now, very unimpressed!
