Ripped off!?

Hi People,

I'm new to this cigar world but appreciate one or two a year!

Hope you don't mind if I pick your expert brains. ???

My mate bought some cigars from Mexico (and it was honestly my mate, this isn't me trying to pretend I'm not stupid! )

I've consulted a few people and they tell me they're fakes :0 . He wanted me to try to sell them online, but I'm not going to sell someone fakes and pass them off as the real thing :angry: !

Any ideas? Someone told me cohibas don't sell in glass lid boxes - saying that the detail on the box is poor, it looks like david blunkett made it in his school woodwork classes......

Any guidance/info will be appreciated.

I'll be sure to tell him in work tomorrow, not sure he'll be too pleased, he thought he got a bargain haggling the bloke down from £100 to £50! What sort of price would a genuine fetch over here in the uk - just out of interest?

You can easily check any number of online British vendors to get a price for genuine Cohibas.
Personally, I would hope your mate isn't going to try to pass them off as the real thing thereby compounding his error with a truly unethical action. Besides, anyone familiar with Cuban cigars and Cuban cigar standards will run from this box as fast as their little British legs will carry them!

100% fake. Smoke one, it *might* be good, or it might suck ass. But it is most certainly not a box of Cuban Cohibas.

500 pounds/box is what one of the UK retailers listed on this site sells them for.

Can't really help on the Jag parts unfortunately. I'm sure there will be some specialist brokers/dismantlers though in the UK.

Have you tried searching ebay!? if not, try www.google.co.uk click only UK search and type any of the following.

Jaguar spare parts
Jaguar dismantlers
Jaguar parts
etc.
etc.

Sorry I can't help more, but the UK google site should bring some good results.

Usually ALT 156 or ALT 0163 will do the pound symbol but that doesn't seem to be working on this forum any longer. I have used it before and C&P still works for it.
