He paid his price for his lack of action, and if he joins an afterlife, then he will have to answer for it there, as well. On Earth, the man was an icon and a legend. He was a brand without ever attempting to sell himself. Paterno was one of a kind, and the last of his kind. He came from a different time than most, and carried those values with him, for better or for worse, until the end. An era in college football is now over, and most likely will never be repeated. He may be remembered for the one thing he did wrong, for which there is no excuse. However, he also did a thousand things right to help better the lives and futures of countless students. He was a legend, but most of all, Joe was human. Just like all of us.
