So,about the time I left VA to head to San Diego for the summer, it was time for me to change out the gel-jar. I am still a n00b smoker, so I only had 3-4 cigars left in there that I wanted to smoke with some friends anyways.
I smoked the cigars, and the humidor was empty. When I left, I threw out the old gel-jar and stored the humidor away for the summer.
My question is this: Will I need to do anything special to get the humidor going again? It is a 50 cigar humidor, analog hygrometer. When I first got it, I properly seasoned it, calibrated the hygrometer, and it held steady at 70%. I lost a bit of humidity as winter arrived, but quickly adjusted and got it back to 70%.
So, do I need to recalibrate, re-season, etc? I am operating under the assumption that I will need to do these things.
Sorry for the long explanation, but I'd appreciate the help!
