So I am wanting to put together a 28 bottle vinotemp, but the quandry I face is I have no buisness doing anything with tools, period! When I say this I mean it. I once tried to put a lock in a file cabinet with scissors (see what I mean) and ended up at the hospital. Anyway I was hoping that I might be able to coax someone into building the shelves and also prefabing the interior wood siding for me. I would obviously compensate someone well for the time, materials, and the cost of shipping these items to me. I am just not confident in my ability at all. Please PM me if you might be willing to do this and we can work out the details.

Jim

Why don't you PM Handyman Dave Jim? He's the man here for something like that.

When doing the vinotemp there isn't really any handyman stuff to do but the shelves which I had Jim do as well. They are top notch and arrived very fast. I also put a fan in mine but I really don't think they are needed. Once everything stabilizes out the fans don't really serve a purpose. The only other thing you would need to do is run it to see if you get condensation in your area. Some do and some don't. If you do you will need to route the condensation into your beads and thats just a matter of some tape and plastic as well as some testing to make sure it works.

If you have any questions just shoot me a pm, be more than happy to help.

I'll 3X the contacting MTMouse -- he does great work. The Shelves and cigars honestly could probably hold enough humidity, but throw in a pound of beads in there around the place just to make sure.

I had some minor condensation, but I used some heartfelt felt (the same as the beads, but in paper felt form), and taped it in place to adsorb the condensation. For the 4-5+ months I've had it, I have had to add humidity only once a month.

Another BOTL who does great work is Niteseer. He constructed two custom cedar singles shelves for my vinotemp to my exact specifications and I couldn't be happier!
