Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some recommendations on some other smokes i should try. Currently, my favorites are the PAN64s, the 1926 Serie, and the Montecristo Whites.

Can anyone recommend some other cigars that i would like based on those three? Ignore price range and any other factors. I prefer to smoke smaller cigars as well. No churchills for me.

Thanks in advance,
-Zach

right now im smoking a gurkha ancient warrior
med/full with a little spice. dark chocolate with a little hint of licorice.

very nice smoke :D

edit: closer to the 64 than the monte white as far as strength but nowhere near the complexity of flavor kinda hard to beat a padron ???

I will have to try the Gurkha....kinda hard to come by at my local shop though.

Im not necessarily trying to beat the padron, just looking for other good, quality smokes.
Thanks for the recommendation!

I try very hard to find another smoke that compares, day in and day out to Cammacho's. The dark side is fine, but in the price range I like Cammacho's. A couple of different looks, but they are pretty darn good for a reasonably priced smoke. The Havana Reserve's are actually fairly cheap about $50 for a box of 20 robustos.

Where do you go for cigars, golfgar? Just JR or any other good shops here in STL?

Mostly on the net for normal stuff like Cammacho's, the special stuff is mostly local.

Just noticed you live here too..... Holy Schmidt! Herf time....soon. Try Briars and Blends on Hampton and St. Louis Cigars on Olive west of 270. Both have Opus now. STL Cigars has some nice Padron Anniverario's in stock now at reasonable prices.

What is this the mighty MO post? Try a the new Bolivar or a La Flor Dom. Ligero L-300 Cabinet. Good Stuff and it doesn't empty your wallet.

Got one of the new Bolivars yesterday. Tubo. Haven't tried it yet, $5.55 at the local shop. I start sweating (more precisely perspiring) when I have the LFD ligero series. :D Guess I just need to eat first.

Awesome, I'll definitely keep an eye for them.

The problems with almost all the Gurkha line and K. Hansotia too, is that they don't really make a "small" cigar in most of their line-up. Some of what they call Robustos are 6x50 :0 Good stuff overall though.

Nice to see an experienced member on the board from STL! Think we could set up a local trade sometime?

Try Arturo Fuente Best Seller or Work of Art.
Both are wonderful cigars.

Although I don't get the Monte White (quite mild, no?) especially when compared with Padrons, why not try a DCM #5. Spicy, fragrent, and the right size.

I would recommend the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos # 3, Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature, Ashton Cabinet, Ashton Aged Maduro, Diamond Crown and Davidoff Millenium.

You might like Partagas Black. Great rich flavor. I'm also looking forward to a Graycliff Expresso, but those are quite expensive, and not too many places have them.

I'd say try La Aurora 100 anos. Great bang for the buck. Creamy taste, copious smoke, chocolate flavor. Its a win/win situation!

I agree... most of those cigars he makes are cannons. The Centurian is a great smoke and smaller than most of his lines. If you have an hour or more, Hansotia does it best!
