Has anyone tried these yet? Supposedly produced for just the swiss market and was curious if they are worth it.

I asked the same question a while ago of a FOG and was directed to some other sites that had a decent threads on these smokes. I would post the threads here however I am not sure of the etiquette on that. (Can I get a yeah or neah on that guys?)

But I can summerize what I read, both the new Punch and these where commisioned by Interbak (sp?), the swiss distributor of Habanos products. Someone mentioned they smelled good, and others said it was a gimmick to charge higher prices. Not sure what the truth is but I am sure it is somewhere in the middle.

Too early to gauge how good they are. I can tell you that they look and smell fantastic. Not sure about taste - too young yet.

Jingle can you post pics? as to how they look? Everything I have seen on the web is fuzzy.

I've read this too and I don't buy it. These are not "ELs" and they are not overpriced IMO. They are right in line with other Corona Gordas. Keep in mind these were commissioned for the SWISS market only and thus will command Swiss market prices.

Here's the requested picture:

P.S. It's "Scratch 'n Sniff" - try it...

Less than $10 per stick (before shipping) is not too outrageous IMO. Just look at the Siglo IV price.

I scratched and sniffed, no scent. My monitor must be broken, thanks for posting the link and the pics. So has anyone tried one yet to see what it is like, or is everyone letting them "rest"? (I find that term funny, why are cigars so tired that they need to rest, LOL)

I don't necessarily know that they need to rest, but the tobacco in these cigars still has roots. They were boxed in June 2005. Waaaayyyy too young. I won't smoke any of them for at least 6 months...I owe them at least that much age.

I find that the cigars shipped from overseas need a 'rest' from their journey because of the lack of climate control. It ususally doesn't matter how well they are sealed or how short or long they are in transit. I guess it is more of a re-stabilization period.

You'll need to give them far more than 6 months to shed the taste of soil and sweat. :p

They do look great and I cant wait to try one in a few months.

They're just a different size of an already ISOM blend. If you want to spend over $10 for different sized cigar, have a ball.....

ggiese - What blend are they like in the R.A. line? Just curious so I know what to expect. :)
