Question on Partagas Series D No 2 LE 2003

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew how many of these where made, and is there something like an EMS box of these? I ask because an aquiantance from the UK mentioned that the EMS tag on some of these boxes marked them as special somehow, and of course i know nothing about this.

Hmmm, so far bagel so i guess it is a super obvious or just an unanswerable question. Could anyone explain what the EMS boxes are, English Merchant Select or selection. I was told that it is some sort of special designation that certain shops go to cuba and choose the tobacco that will be used for them. But googling it, it appears to referre to a type of wrapper. Or am I just really confused. Any help would be appreciated.

EMS is English Market Selection which used to mean something more
than it does today. Generally speaking it designated, not a different or
better blend (the factory does not determine their blends based on the "shipped to" country), but a better
control for less then perfect samples.

It is a quality control designation. And that is all...Maybe some
FOGs can weigh in.
