Question about customs...

If they decided to keep a package for any reason... do they inform the recipient or sender?

Or is it as if the package fell into a large black hole?

I have heard that you get a letter -or- they will send you the box empty.

yep...i got a letter and supposidly im on their "list" now.

Don't worry about the "list". I've gotten the letter in the past and still get packages delivered.

I could give a crap about the list... I'm just concerned with a package I sent air mail express (GERMAN) 2 weeks before christmas that hasn't arrived yet in New York and another I sent per boat to PA even before that that hasn't arrived.

So they are either been stolen or customs has them. And both of the packages had NOTHING in them that is illegal in the US of A so I'm pretty mad about the whole situation.
