Putting a small humidor in my Coolidor.

Ok... So I bought a small travel humidor from cheaphumidors.com some time ago. It is a fairly decent 5ish stick humi, Spanish cedar, yadda yadda, the whole deal. Is there any reason why it would be a bad idea to toss it in my cooler and use it as extra organization/storage for singles while I'm not using it for travel? I'm thinking that the answer is no and it will be fine. Just wanted to check in before I do something stupid.

Thanks!
Greg

Well, just so you know someone here is reading this stuff. I didn't want you to be lonely.

I don't see why it would be a problem. I keep my plastic travel humi inside my bigger humidor. Only thing is, if it is wood, it may bring down your RH once it's been out for a while.

As long as you keep it cracked open to get the right RH inside, I couldn't imagine that to be a problem.

This is what I figured is the worst that could happen. I'll try it out and see how it goes!

Thanks for the replies!

FWIW I keep 3 20 count cheapies (the free ones from CI) inside my vino temp for singles. I keep a shot glass of beads inside each. Keeps things just fine.

This is what I ended up doing. I had a small puck of 65% beads from my first humi that I just threw inside the small one. My cooler is still holding steady at 66% so I think all will be well. Thanks for the help, guys!

You can also use humidor quality cigar boxes for singles. Takes up less space.

well if you think about it leaving a humidor inside a coolidor is not an issue. A humidor at some point will lose humidity and you have to refill the beads, thus pointing out it's not a perfect airtight seal as air can get out. So if air can get out it can also get in, so if anything your coolidor will help maintain the humidity in your humidor much better.
