I smoked one of these last night for the first time..never smoked anything at all like it, I was wondering if anyone had any other run-ins with a Corojo wrapped cigar and how it might stand up to the punch???

I have not had the Punch, but I have had the RP Edge Corojo and The Cusano 1997 Corojo. I thought the Cusano was better then the RP, which was a bit tamer for me compared to spicness of the Cusano. But since i have had both these I have become a big fan of this wrapper. Yet my local cigar seller was telling me that not alot of people are big fans of this taste. Oh well..

I like the flavor of the corojo wrappers, but I often find them too thin and delicate. I've had issues with them unwrapping while I smoke on some cigars (including the Punch Rare). I've also found them easily damaged if I take the celophane off to store them.

The Edge corojo is one of my favorites, they progress into a great flavor bang at the end. I even like the cheap CI rare corojo's from cbid (about a buck a piece) for a decent flavor for what it is.

I had one Punch Rare Corojo that kind of tasted like a dirty foot smells! The next one I tried was better but still not something I would go to.

I am hooked on the Indian Tabac corojo's and if you have yet to try them them do so soon.

Same here...if you like the punch corojos, youll LOVE the Indian Tabac ones...i think their much more flavorful and are less expensive(at least around here)

The PRC is not a true Corojo. It's a dark Sumatran. I guess that's what makes it so rare :p You may want to try some of the other suggestions here to get an idea of what real corojo's taste like.

Makes sense. Because I've really liked the other Corojo cigars that I have tried.

As it was mentioned before PRC is not Corojo at all.
Well... If you try Trilogy Corojo or Gran Habano #5 or Cusano Corojo you'll notice that Corojo wrapper is not "thin and delicate" at all... Rather opposite.

But... what do I know?!..

What are the Indian Tabac corojo's like compared to the Edge's?

i like it. but real corojos are better. i like camacho diplomas a lot. the diploma maduros are great, too

I should really check into this stuff better..I see that the PRC has not corojo at all...

I actually have smoked about 5 indian tabac corojos..my local shop just got them in..5 bucks a stick...very nice..dig those very much...gotta try the Cusano soon tho..gotta find it lol

I've had the Bohemian Red and was surprised with the cigar...I really enjoyed it.
