Ring: I think 50
Length: 6"
Wrapper Color: Light to Medium
Burn: Ok to poor
Overall Construction: ok. Lots of veins
Taste: Ok, Mild
Draw: Tight

This is my very first review of a cigar and unfortunately, it is not a favorable one. I don't know if I just got a bad one and since I am such a Newbie (FNG) to the hobby, I am not sure where Pryme falls in the pecking order.

The positive side: It was mild tasting and had an ok flavor.

The negative side: when I lit up, I knew it was going to be a chore of a smoke when I found the draw to be tight.

About a quarter way through the smoke, the wrapper started to peel off between the burn and the head. The burn started to become uneven as well.

My overall impresssion is not great. Again, I dont know enough about this particular brand to know where it is at and this was a fluke

Thanks for looking at my first review!

If it's the cigar here,I say try another one. Sounds like a good cigar to me. Alec Bradley makes a lot of mediocre, fairly inexpensive cigars. Must be a step up for them. Thanks for the review I'm gonna try to find me a few of these to try.

Thanks! I may give it another shot to see if it was just a fluke. Cigars can have bad days I guess. If you do try one, let us know.

I have enjoyed the few Prymes that I have had. I am not a big fan of mild cigars unless they have alot of nice flavors, and I have found these to fit that requirement. The flavors are subtle, but there none-the-less. I do, however, feel that they are overpriced.

I just smoked a prime and had no problems with draw/ burn. IT was well constructed and very mild. It had some decent flavor but nothing to keep me comming back. I say go for another one since you had the construction issues as these should be fairly enjoyable. I have heard some good things about them, but they just didnt knock my socks off. Thanks for the review.

I have smoked my way through about 1/2 a box of the R100s (robustos). LC hit it on the head, mild to medium bodied, very subtle flavors. It is a great morning cigar on a clean palate. All of the Prymes that I have smoked have been very well constructed and smoked great. I would, however, be interested to find out whether you were smoking one of the originals or one of the reblends.

These were introduced at the RTDA show in 2004. They were supposed to be a bit more full-bodied than they ended up being. They were really touted because of the Corona wrapper used on the cigar. Anyway, Alec Bradley went back to the drawing board between the 2004 and 2005 shows and reblended the cigar to have a bit more "oomph." They added some ligero to the blend.

I have smoked only one of the reblends and it did have a bit more body, however, it did not burn as well as the others. It was OK, just not as well. The ligero in the center did not keep up with the wrapper. So, I think they still have some kinks to work out.

That said, it is still one of my favorite morning cigars. Try another.

I will try another at some point. Like to give it another chance. From the sounds of it, the one I had was probably an anomoly.

It is a decent morning smoke at best for me.
Also have not had any burn/draw problems.

Thanks for the review.
