Problem with Opus X "X"

The last two Perfexion "X"'s that I have smoked (both from 2005) have been flavorless and boring ...has anyone else noticed this? I'm very dissapointed because I really love Opus X cigars and tonight I really wanted this one to blow my mind like all of the rest of the line usually do!

I have a full box of Perfecon X's I got for Christmas and have smoked 2 from it. Both have been perfect with the typical spice and great flavor I would expect from this cigar.

As soon as I got them I took the humi pack out of the box and put them in my cabinet which is at 58-62 percent humidity. They dried out for about a month before I tried them. If you are storing yours at 70 percent I would recommend dropping it down some. Are you exhaling the smoke through your nose when you smoke?

I cannot imagine an Opus X being flavorless and boring. Too strong and spicy....yes but I have never ran into one that was boring.

I store them at about 66%...so no problem there. I know that they are real and I've never had this problem with any Opus I've smoked. Just weird that these taste so different than any of the other vitola's from Opus...so one dimensional. Guess I just have to smoke the others and see if they are the same.

Ditto to that! I've heard ALOT of different and off the wall "notes" and "flavors" being tasted/smelled in Opus, but never it was flat and boring.
