Problem maintaining RH

Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to ask for some help. I have a small cabinet style humidor that is about 5-6 cubic feet. I was given a Hydra LG and since I put it in I have had issues with keeping the proper humidity level. I generally like to keep my sticks at about 68% RH but since I think this Hydra LG is just too big for this size of humidor I was wondering what I can do to lower the humidity down to where I like it. The humidity level right now stays between 70-72%. I would not have normally used such a large humidifier but it was given to me for free so I just thought I might as well use it. I am just hoping someone out there has some ideas on how I can go about getting the RH to where I like it. Thank you.

PM MoeCizlak. He's a VP at Hydra, and can probable help.

Scientifically speaking, it's literally impossible to drop relative humidity 2%. That's like asking the Grand Canyon to move a little to the left. I wish it were possible, but a humi that far out of whack is simply beyond help. Sorry.

What if he kept the lid of the humi cracked all the time? Would that work?

Well I guess my question is is this humidifier just flat out to big for my humidor if trying to drop the humidity level that much is out of the qustion?

I was only trying to direct him toward the new member guide. If I did something wrong I apologize. I was under the impression that everyone was expected to post an introduction/fill out their profile, and let us get to know them. Perhaps I should've posted a few more words with my post but I was not attempting to be rude or sarcastic in any way so again apologies if this is how it seemed.

You're ok. I would have posted the link to intros and suggest he introduce himself.

Yeah, going back and reading I definitely should've included that info in the post. Duly noted for the future.
