Power Ranger knockout

After reading all the stellar reviews of the OpusX line, I picked up a few from my local vendor. Tonight, some friends invited me to a concert, which ended up being fantastic. To end the evening, I chose to smoke a Power Ranger.

The cigar looked amazing, completely flawless. The wrapper was nice and oily, and looked like it was put together with great care. The power ranger is 4.625 x 49, so short enough to not extend my evening by two hours. The burn was a little rough, as I do not have the humidor quality of regulating the Rh too well. The next one I smoke, I will keep in a drier spot, like my travel humidor, for a few days before smoking.

The taste was amazing, and left a very enjoyable aftertaste. My only complaint with this cigar was the nicotine. I had read a few posts calling the power rangers strong in the nicotine department, but was completely unprepared for how strong they really are. I am now about 2/3 finished with it, and have a spinning head and broke out into a sweat! This thing is a nicotine powerhouse..

OpusX definately deserves the praise that they have received, as the taste truly overshadows my buzz. Thanks for all the great reviews in the past, as they have helped me pick out some winners.

When you start to feel a niocotine buzz ingest something with sugar in it and it will cause it to fade if you catch it in time...

Yeah I always find myself craving something sweet after a strong cigar.

Better yet, make a preemtive strike and eat a big, sugary snack, or dessert after your meal, before smoking.

Isn't that a great little cigar??? I smoked many Opus X before the xXx...and wasn't prepared for how strong a little torp like that can be and cause such a great head buzz. But yes, the flavor does overshadow the nicotine. In fact...I think I'll smoke one today...been sittin' for about 6 months and should be just right!!!

The Power Ranger aka XXX is definitely the strongest Opus on the market. I have to be very careful when I smoke them because of how strong they are. Do not try smoking one of these first cigar in the morning.

Shadow, it i'll make you feel alive alright.lol You are only one of two people I know who will smoke them in the morning, the other being The Collector from CF. He smokes 8-10 cigars a day so he is basically immune.

The first one I ever smoked was on a fishing boat at 7AM - it hurt. A lot.

I posted this a while back...it's an MP3 of me smoking my first Power Ranger. It lasts about 12 minutes. At the end, I talk about stopping the tape and then adding some final thoughts when I have finished the cigar. Instead, I had to go lay down!

haha...never heard of an audio cigar review...not a bad idea...sometimes I don't feel like writing down thoughts while I'm trying to smoke....also can't believed I listened to the whole damn thing!....definitely something different!
