Well, I sure can't match the recent review by souldog24ca, but bear with me. I won't call it a cheap cigar, more inexpensive is a good phrase. I can't afford decent sticks ($6 plus) for an everyday smoke, so I wanted something to fill in while I tried to find my taste and a good cigar when the moment is right. These arrived in a large, plastic sealed brick, with individual wrappers. At $45 for the brick, I thought it was a good buy and and I could afford. Also, you smoke a few of these, and then that $6 plus stick tastes really good.

The cap was finished nicely and I have found magic with an exacto knife blade (until today when I bought a $5 guillotine (I just can't bear yet parting with $42 for a Xikar. The wrapper was even in color, but there was a large vein (they all seem to have a large vein). The light was easy and the draw smooth, maybe just a tad too smooth. It remains lit and developed about a 1.25 inch ash. I did notice the ash began to yellow at the tip, and the main ash, while ashen in color, was not a white ash.

Taste is subjective, but it's ok for its cost. Again, once you try a Don Pepin or a Fuente etc., you truly appreciate the better cigar.

I would tell you this cigar is not meant to be savored, it is IMO meant for waxing the car, riding the cutting lawn mower; something where you are not going to concentrate on the cigar, but you want something to do. It fills a gap and is better than an El Producto or Dutch Master.

Would I buy them again, I don't think so. These are by no means dog rockets, but there isn't enough there to give me some satisfaction. I'm going to look toward CP for more suggestions; and of course, try different sticks until one stands up and says hello you good looking devil. The search continues.

Thank you all for your input, wisdom and contributions to CP, which I follow faithfully.

Thanks for the review. It's always good to have a "filler" cigar. An everyday yard gar for doing chores and such. Good luck on your quest!

I'm fairly certain you're going to hate me for introducing you to this, but I feel I wouldn't be giving you the full education unless I did.

I've had some Frescos sitting in the humi for about 8 months now, they really improve with some time, takes away that bite or harshness that they have right away. Like you said I find they are really no more than an every day cigar but beat the JLPs when I'm doing something that's more than 45 minutes or so.

Add: FYI it's Perdomo
