Thanks to a recent box split, I just had the pleasure of finishing a Por Larranga Petite Corona on my deck and sipping a Wild Turkey, neat, while enjoying a great summer evening. Man, these are wonderful smokes. I have to say the slightly smaller size of these great smokes is really starting to appeal to me. A nice reasonably quick evening smoke, to be sure.

After a nice foot toasting, she burst forth with the classic flavors one would expect, and just got better and better as it went, until my scorching hot fingers told me that this one was done.....tons of nice thick smoke, and wonderful, complex flavors that still linger and make me want to burn another - !! But, I'm going to try my best to let 'em rest another month or two before digging in again.

Best Regards - B.B.S.

I have not tried that cigar yet, but I have read lots of good things about the Por Larranga Petite Corona.

Are these cigars still available or have they been discontinued?

They were rumored to be discontinued. Then they came back into production once the demand went through the roof. Don't know if that was a one-time deal or if they're back for good.

I had one from Sept. 04; so they have been made recently. I believe they are still in production currently, however they are relatively difficult to find.

I found a couple of sites that list them, but have none in stock.

I am in the box split with BBS and I also love the PL PCs. They are spicier than the Cohiba Siglo IIs, but still have that unique Cuban flavor profile. I was a little concerned about the petite size, but these two smokes are just wonderful and not lacking in taste at all.

How would these compare to a Partagas Short?

No comparison in my opinion - the PLPC is much better, especially with age.

funny, I smoked one yesterday after work. I liked it.

..the party short is a great smoke, though. Another great "quick" yet quality, detailed, complex smoke, IMHO....

They are different, yet so similar; both have merit. Got both in the humi....
