Well, I was supposed to be working, but decided to give the game of golf a try.

Off the tee....I suck
Irons/wedges...I suck
Chipping....I suck
Putting....not to bad, but still suck

But what I am good at is drinking beer, and wreck...I mean driving the golf cart.

I had a blast and the guys I played with were real sports, and only made fun of me on the front 9.

Will be going aging soon.

PS: Also smoked a Trinidad, A bit strong for 10am in the morning on an empty gullet.
 
I am epicly terrible at golf. Like, drunken Thor with a crooked stick hitting a beachball terrible.
 
The only sport that I seem to irreparably suck at. The closest thing to a compliment that my golf game ever got was being told that it looked like I was trying to play baseball.

As a side note, I am a freakin' animal at putt-putt. Seriously. I'm nutty as hell at it. Especially intoxicated :D.
 
I was once told that golf was a relaxing sport...... He lied!!!!!!!! All we do is take a 12 pack and a few gars and try to put that little white bastaed of a ball in the hole which is 400 yards away from us!!
 
I would take a day at the course over a day of work without question regardless of how well or poorly I play that particular day!

After a round I get home and the conversation goes something like this:

Wife: How was the round?
Me: It was a beautiful day.
Wife: But how well did you shoot?
Me: Like I said, it was a beautiful day!

I've been golfing for years. My game has progressed steadily. My level is now:

Off the tee....I suck
Irons/wedges...I suck
Chipping....I suck
Putting....not to bad, but still suck

Sound familiar?

Golf is a series of screw-ups waiting to happen. But it's still one of the best games to play in the world.
 
what other sport can you think of where:
you can herf, drink, eat and be out of the house for at least 5 hr's.
you might suck all day but
one clean shot where you don't even feel the ball hit the face of the club.
that my friend will bring you back for more.
 
Hey I haven't played in two years but I've committed to getting my game back this year. I've missed it a lot!! Like the guy said, it only takes one good shot to bring you back next time.
