First off sorry but no pictures this review My wife has the camera with her at my 4 year-olds first carnival party.
Secondly I really cant give you the facts about this cigar regarding the fine details (wrapper, filler etc.) since it was a gifted cigar from brother Emo.
What I can give you is a little story about a small ass kicker of a cigar that I smoked so far down I have blisters on my right fore finger and thumb.
A week or so ago I was over at Double D's working on his smoking room and as we are want to do I gifted him one each of the cigars that Emo bombed me with that I had 2 or more of (we always do this when we receive or buy cigars and its a habit I am very happy with since it enables both of us to expand our cigar horizons, besides what are friends for?) He had just got done telling me that he thought he might be losing his taste for cigars since no cigar that he had tried recently had "WOWED" him. I lit up a Padrón 3000 and he picked up the little Plasencia I had just given him, clipped it and lit it up like a cigarette. I quote him... "Holy Shit!" I looked at my BOTL, smiled and said, "Let me guess, you just got WOWED!" He replied "Hell yeah, damn this little sucker is good!"
Well I admit I was intrigued, but not having the second one with me I decided to wait a few days before firing mine up.
A few days turned into a few weeks due to a head cold but today, with both the arrival of my newest bottle of scotch and my sinuses deciding to clear up, I went out on the balcony to brave the minus 2 degree cold and snow.
I clipped the head and took a pre-light draw, this was a tad bit on the tight side but nothing to worry about. Not being as crude as my best friend I toasted the foot and sniffed, mmmmmmmmm nice.
As I took my first large puff I had to agree with Dale's "Holy Shit" this little smoke was a firecracker! A lot of spice and lip numbing body was the first thing I noticed. Practicing The Master's advice to let some of the smoke out of my nose I also picked up the musty sweetness I usually get with Nicaraguan cigars like the Padróns thousand series.
The burn was off a bit, but I chalk this up to the wind. The ash was a dark gray with a snow white core and held on until I decided to tap it.
Even with as cold as it was I took my time with this little cigar, not knowing when I would get a chance to smoke another, and I must say I enjoyed it all the way down to about the 1 1/2 cm mark, burning my fingers in the process.
A great cigar and one I wouldn't mind having a box of. Checking my German online shop I found that I can order the Robusto and Torpedo sizes of this cigar but with the huge nicotine buzz I received from the smallest vitola, I'm almost afraid to order one of the larger ones (but I will, oh rest assured I will)
Emo thanks again for the opportunity!
