Placement of Hydra in Antitiem

My hydra sits at the bottom of my antietem and I've noticed that there is a small humidity discrepency between the bottom and top of humidor. I'm considering moving the hydra to the middle tray and thus my question: Does the humidity from the hydra expand and move about the humidor (in other words, does it travel upwards?) or does it just sink down to the bottom? If it sinks, I suppose placing the hydra on the middle shelf would make the most sense no?

As for fans, I've ordered 2 more Hydra fans and am working on developing a system for ideal humidity (with out screwing anything into place) with all three. I'm thinking of affixing the fans sideways so that I may guide humidity away from the hydra. But I'll save that for another post :)

In theory humidity rises though my personal observations have demonstrated the opposite.

I am also finding that the bottom is slightly higher RH than the top. I have my Hydra on the second shelf(see picture of humi in link). I was able to mount the fans by cutting two 2"x2" squares from a cigar box and then screwing the fans with 1" spacers into the small squares. I then use double sided velcro to mount the fans I have one at the bottom pointing up and 1 in the middle on the side wall. So far it is working like a charm.

The draw you see at the bottom of my humi is removable and I removed it and that is where I placed the fan pointing up plus it creates more space to store some boxes. Best of luck.

The wetter the air the heavier it is(i think), so it would tend to sit more towards the bottom. a small fan on a timer would fix your problem without having to rearrange anything.
