Not much of a review as this wasn't much of a smoke. Very closed flavor-wise and downright bland in the last 1/3 of the cigar. Cedar and caramel were the most easily detectable flavors; very reminescent of a young PLPC. Cigar opened up a bit in the middle and some dark coffee notes and a slight fruitness were noted which is uncharateristic of the PL line imo. Turned sour shortly after this and was downhill till the end.

Obviously very young and still wet. I dry-boxed it for half-a-day and it lost so much moisture that the bands were loose enough to move up and down the cigar with no resistance from the cigar! I don't know what to say about it; I was hoping it would be more approacable young based on other reviews, but it just didn't happen. If the cigar tasted as good as it looked, it would've been a blockbuster

Cedar, caramel, some dark coffee, notes and a slight fruitness ??? Holy crap, did we smoke the same stick...LOL

As I mentioned in another thread, I found a pleasant nutty taste, I guess a tinge of caramel. It was an ok smoke. I had
mine at +- 63 RH for about 5 days, not wet at all.

We have spoken about weather before...keep in mind I smoked mine on my deck with temp at about 72 degrees. You obviously were
not as fortunate and this may have played a role. Just surmising!

Nice pics though :D

Nice review.

Too bad about the smoke. I had one the other day...it was very nice!!!

I'm sure these will marry very well. I look forward to the few extras I have...as I'll try to space them out over the coming months/years.

I think I got a fake! :whistling:

I'll try another one over the summer; surely it will be a lot better. As far as the weather, it was around 50 when I smoked yesterday, one of the warmest X-mas I can remember. The PL Lonsdales from last year blew these away at roughly the same age; and those are still very reasonably priced.

Thanks for the review. I've been very interested in these and can't wait to try one. Your experience is similar to mine any time I smoke a cuban before it acclimates. I find them weak and bland even if I dry box it. I'm sure it will improve over the coming months with what you described in the middle section.

Thanks for the straight-up review, Mike. I've yet to spark one up but will report on it when I do.
