Pipe Designation Question

I am getting a couple new pipes in this week, and I am trying to decide what I am going to designate them to smoking? Is it OK to designate a pipe for smoke Straight VA Blends, and VA/PER blends. Or do I need to designate one pipe for each? If it is ok to use one for both then the churchwarden is going to be designated to english blends.
Thanks!
B

I just smoke VAPERs in the pipes I've designated for VAs. I don't smoke a lot of VAPERs, though, so I may not be the best example. I'd imagine a blend strong in Perique could influence the next blend.

If you have a very sensitive palette, I would say dedicate one to each. Personally, I don't bother, because I find them complimentary, and I'm just not that sensitive. I do however have a couple of pipes I only smoke only latakia blends in. That stuff, with it's residual creosote smell permeates every thing.

Doc.

I use the same pipe for both. I tend to like the hint of perique that shows itself when I smoke a straight Va.

Thanks fellas, decision made. I will smoke both in one. Now I just have to figure out which I am going to devote to it??? Decisions, decisions.

On the rare occasion that I smoke Virginias without Perique I use the same pipe.

Bit of a Perique junkie here. :D
