I picked this robusto up at the IPCPR show in Vegas last month and finally got around to smoking it last night.

This little fugger surpassed all my expectations. The burn and draw were just right, according to my liking. I like an even burn ALL the time and an easy draw. It provided volumes of creamy smoke which is another one of my likes. There was no bitterness or tanic taste at any point. The band came right off without any hassle which is something I truly appreciate.

For those of you who like an oscuro wrapper and enjoy the 601 green, I suggest you give this little bad boy a try. It's certainly worth your time.

Couldn't agree more Geoff. I received this as a gift from a very generous Matt (42).
I've wanted to try this as soon as I heard the buzz from IPCPR. The wrapper is a beautiful chocolate brown with a supple texture and a firm roll. I started with a punch and it greeted me with forcefull chocolate & woodsy flavors that lasted for well over 2/3s of the cigar. The last third was dominated by cinnamon and soft nutmeg. I nubbed this one where the spice gave way to strong tobacco & earth tones reminding me of HdM and Tats. Nice even burn and clipped the punch off towards the last third to improve (IMHO) the draw. Pleasant finish and I paired it with a Sierra Celebration Ale. Good smoke; I'll be on the lookout for more of the great finds. I believe they retail in the $7 to $8 range & I'd say they are worth it as a treat. :D Thank you Abe for making this jem & thank you Matt for the gift, it is greatly appreciated.
