Just throwin it out there cuz i just found out about it on sunday. There's going to be a pig roast at Satin Jacks Cigar Room on Friday in Lafayette Nj, its on Rt 15 in Lafayette in Old Lafayette Village, its from 10am till.......... Guantanamera Cigars is going to be there. If anyone is in the area it woud be a great chance to meet a few of you here face to face.

I've seen some advertising, and "coming soon" ads on these. Has anybody smoked any?
How about some information on the Blend, origin, etc.?

From what i read (it's on the back of the invitation) They are from Miami, started in 1997 and the smokes are hand rolled. They use a long filler and it says that the tobaccco is from Central America and Carribbean. Thats all the info i have, i will find out more on friday at the roast, while im there im sure i will have to try what they have and maybe pick up a few if they are any good, ill try to write a review on them this weekend if i get the chance.

anybody? this roast will be going on till the morning hours, From what i understand Jack does it up right, locals are going to be there and all we are going to do is smoke, eat and smoe and eat again, did i mention there are going to be free 'gars there? I will be there and i can tell you im going to be the only ass there in a Boston Red Sox hat in a dominately Yanks area

Jack has an event at least once a month even during the winter. I will be there tonight with my Bud. We will be sitting in lawn chairs smoking cigars & drinking beer. :sign: I will have a green Cabela's hat on. Show up time for us will be around 5:30 to 6:00.

I make most events.

I wish i read this last night before i left, i got there around 6 and we didn't leave until 10:30, we had the kids so we had to get them off to bed, but we think this was a nice event and the people we met were great. We mostly sat inside in front of the big screen and watched the game (very dissapointing to me). We both just moved to the area and found his place, it's a nice place and i know that we are going to the CAO event in Aug i hope we can get together next time.

How were the Guantanamera Cigars?

I had a bit of scotch that night :whistling: , so what i can say the DUO i smoked before i started geting lit was very nice, it was a little on the full heavy side, but not too heavy. I usually like a full bodied 'gar and this fit the bill but was also a little on the medium side of things, it really did have a nice even draw right from the start from what i experianced with it, and re-lights were few and far between even though i was talking a lot and was not pulling on it for quite a bit of time. As far as visual apperance the wrap was very nice clean and with a nice oily sheen to it. Any way i smoked 3 differnt ones and can't remember the other 2 after the DUO but i did buy them and will be smoking them in the coming weeks and i wil give a full report on each. But i do have to say that the others i had that night were very smooth and well made from what i can tell, i did get a hand rolled that night that i just have to try

Sam,

My Bud and I sat on the deck by the book store door. We where the two with the case of beer, cooler, lawn chairs smoking cigars! :sign: I think that describes most people there. Large turn out and the food was great. We didn't leave until 1:15 in the morning.

I enjoyed the cigars. I ended up have the limited or Anni one. This was suppose to be a Full body smoke. I enjoyed it and it burn well. Nice tobacco taste. My bud had a medium-full cigar and he enjoyed it. Not running out to buy a box but I would smoke more and see.
