What should I expect? Does this smoke live up to its hype? I paid 22 for a single Torpedo. The thing looks flawless as far as construction. I dont know when i will smoke it.

Let me know how it is after you smoke it! I've never tried this perdomo, but I've tried just about all of the other Perdomos (and have many currently in my humi).

I gotta say I'm not a fan. I've tried them two or three times (and one salamone) and they burned bad and got hot fast. I guess I'd trade a few sticks and try another but honestly, just not worth my time. :/

Good luck to you though!

I'm not a fan either. Excellent construction but not much flavor IMO.

Be sure to tell us how YOU liked it, who cares what I think! :D

I like 'em -- they are creamy and tasty, IMHO, a nice break from some of the richer smokes I usually have. I think they are overpriced though.

Yep - me too...

I have a few of these but they've just been sitting in my humidor. I bought them for much less than MSRP on CBid. I look forward to smoking one but wish you all had some better experiences with them...

Yeah, I was hoping to hear some great things from the FOGs on this one. I have an Edicion De Silvio Salomon en Cedro that comes in the wooden "vessel". Problem is they put a wax seal on it and I hate breaking wax seals. I think i'll pop the top on this one the first night in the new house. I'll post what I think here (if it's not a threadjack). ???

Wow, $22. That's a bit expensive but hey, if it works for you. I haven't smoked anything from Perdomo in a while but I might pick up one of their cheaper sticks. Any suggestions?

One of each. I'll have them ready. :p

I've smoke about 5 of these and am completely unimpressed. I have a friend who is a Perdomo rep so I didn't pay for any of them. If I had I would have been pissed because they are just an average 4 dollar cigar.

does anyone else get really bad burn problems, getting too hot too fast, and bitter notes?

I'll jump in this one. I have smoked a couple of silvio double corona and they were great, complex, but milder than most perdomo's. I have also smoked a couple of the torpedo's and they too were good but not as refined as the doubles, odd. I have a "gift box" for the DC's which is a mini box made from the spiced wood. It does make a difference in the initial flavor IMO, and certainly in pre-light aroma. They are good and the construction is flawless. If you are having burn problems it is probably humidity. From a perdomo rolling event I learned (heard) that they should be kept at 60 to 63 RH. I have never had any bitter notes with any silvio.

I really like perdomo's. The new vintage estate selection is great, especially the maduro.

Another to try is the perdomo2 torfecto. I like the blend and the torfecto shape is one of my favs.

They don't get any foggier than these guys that already responded.

ditto on the torfecto maduros. I've only tried two sizes of maduro but both are okay smokes if stored a little drier.
