So after the perdomo event my shop recently had I am now an official perdomo whore. All that I have smoked I have really enjoyed. 2 of them burned really unevenly but the la tradicion perdomo reserve I smoked burned really straight. I am definetly developing a taste for Nicauraugan Tobacco.

I concur that event was nice........Perdomo definately makes some quality cigars. Stick to the Estate Selection and you will be thoroughly happy. High quality great tobacco.....Recommend to anyone.

I think I am one of the few people in the cigar world that cannot develop a taste for Perdomo cigars. I can smoke the estates, but none of the rest, including the Silvio, do anything for me. I have given it try after try after try...nope, just can't like them much. Oh well, guess there has to be one in every crowd. I will say this, though, Perdomo does have great construction and some very appealing shapes. Quality cigar-maker.

Yo, Dawg.... You can't develop a taste for Perdomos but you CAN develop a taste for Pinar's? Dude, that's just messed up! :p

Does this mean you'll be changing your name?

Having said that, I like the estate seleccions very much myself and the De silvo is amazing.

Yes the event was sweet until I...uh..yeah... Oh well it's all good. I definitley want to try some more Perdomos as well. That "The Cigar" I had burned uneven too, but the Champagne robusto I had at Outlaw burned very even...

I need to keep my opinions to my self as far as Perodomos and Gurkhas are concerned in this neighborhood. Looks like you guys like em'.

Not even... If you kept your opinions to yourself you'd be the first member to do so. :p

If you don't like something, let us know! (See the various Pinar threads to see what I mean.)

Well then, here it goes. As far as Perdomo goes, I am all set with painted Cigars. To bad as far as the Company goes. I remember quite a few years ago when I used to LOVE a Perdomo Cigar. It was a Perdomo Selection Reserva, errrrrrrr sumpin like that. i don't know though. In the past 3 years, I have never had a Perdomo that I have enjoyed. They all fell like a sponge and just don't taste right to me. And every Maduro that I have seen from the company is painted. Just not a cigar for me. Too each his own I say. :D

Well, there's a place for two dollar hookers in the world too. :D

I gave up on Perdomo a few years ago due to construction and consistancy issues... Maybe I'll give 'em a second chance.. maybe not.
Wish I did like like 'em since they're cheaper than the ones I do like.

I go back and forth on these. The Perdomo "mistakes" are a pretty good bundle smoke. I just fired up a Perdomo Reserve maduro #4 that tasted kinda lousy. I was just gettin' ready to do a review.......

Well, I had another perdomo last night at a fraternity barbeque. A Champane rubusto and it was definetly a great stick. Visually the wrapper was way too light for my preferences but did not deter my tastes. It took me a long time to smoke it maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 hour and 15 minutes and I definetly had a huge buzz going on. btw this one burned really straight and I got about 2 inches of ash.

I agree that the Champagne is a great light-medium body cigar with superb construction. The Estate Slection is hands down my favorite Perdomo.

The Reserve Cabinats are a different story though. A few years back, Perdomo seemed to be rolling a lot of new stuff for JR's. Many agree that Perdomo was putting out som many cigars that the construction of their regular line suffered heavily. I remember trying to smoke the Reserva Tradicion Cab and not being able to get any smoke from these things. Plugged worse than a lot of Cubans of the same time frame.

From what I hear, the regular La Tradicion Cabs have been a lot better lately in terms of construction. The tobacco is obviously first class. I think the Red Labels have a tremendous upside if you are into long term aging. They are continued to be rolled tightly, but plenty of smoke now.

Hey Emo, have you been to their office yet? It's about 5 minutes from where Scott and I work.
