Shade-grown cuban seed wrapper
Esteli, Nicaragua for the rest
After reading the review of the Champagne posted by wrz0170 I was over Double D's house and the subject came up. He said "Wait a min I think I have one of those in my Humidor from my last CI brown bag sampler and you can have it, since I've had them before and ain't too crazy about them."
He went rooting around and handed me a Perdomo torpedo with a white band. "Bro the Champagne has a gold band, I don't think this is one." I told him after he handed it to me.
Well we grabbed a few of his cigar cataloges and went looking for what type of cigar he had just gifted me without any luck (I was able to find out which cigar I smoked by checking the internet before writing this review)
I said WTF and clipped it and fired it up.
Well as I have noticed with all the Perdomo cigars I have tried so far, it was well rolled and burned without needing any touching up. The taste in the beginning however wasn't anything to write home about. The cigar in its first half had a musty taste to it, very earthy but lacking anything you would consider spice. As it reached the halfway point it did start to get interesting, the taste picked up and it actually became pretty decent in line with a AF WOAN in taste.
I nubbed it out with about an inch and a half left due to it becoming slighty metallic in taste.
All and all not a bad cigar, it might even age well, but I personally wouldn't buy a box just to find out.
If your a Perdomo fan and haven't had one of these, by all means give it a shot.
