Pre-light draw was nice and open . I could tell this was going to have a great draw. I tasted a hay like flavor and a little dry spice.

Toasted the foot and lit er up. I could taste pepper up front. First full draw gave out a voluminous amount of smoke. Nice and creamy , with the peppery finish.

First 1/3
Draw was great full of huge full bodied smoke. It left a peppery flavor on my tongue. I'd like to say it was leathery but I've never eaten my belt before so I can't comment on that flavor. I was really enjoying this thing...until it went out. So I relit and continued. The burn also started to get odd..

Although the Burn was a bit eneven the cigar tasted great. As a noob I do not understand my pallete yet but the flavor was very pleasent. Rich and full.I wish my wife would smoke because if you stuck ONE sesame seed in a meatloaf she could find "that little hint of seseme" Unfortunetly all she contributes to my new vice is "making stinky faces" at me through the sliding glass door.

ok..so I need to digress a bit here....I'm mowing my lawn before I do this and you know how you have crazy random thoughts sometimes? For some un-godly reason I start thinking about Humpty Dumpty. I become enamored with it...

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall ...ok someone explain this to me...HD was a effing egg.How the hell did he even get up on that wall. His big fat egg body was broader than his arm reach. I'm pretty sure the whole story is Horses sh!t

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall ....I stop the mower and go into the house to google info on this "incident"Appearently Poor Humpty was suicidal after auditioning and being turned down for egg #4 in the now famous egg drinking scene in the first Rocky movie. He became so despodent that somehow he gets on this damn wall and swan dives off.

All the Kings Horses and all the Kings Men couldn't put poor Humpty back together again...really...ya think? Cause I know the first on scene responders should some HORSE's and Calverymen. Humper needed a damn trama Surgeon and the King sent him horses(who are so smart BTW they will eat themselves to death given the chance) and calvarymen who are blood thirsty SOB's who were just happy to see breakfast laying on the ground....ok sorry..got that out of my system..

2/3
Ash was a bit flaky as you can see.

But the cigar was settling nicely. As smooth as a freshly paved driveway without the asphalt after taste. At this pointy I really did think I tasted some leather. So I took off my belt and bit a chunk out of it.. All I tasted was dirt, dust and a faint hint of gasoline. This leathery thing continues to elude me.

last 1/3

We were getting close to the finish. Burn was still uneven but I really don't care. If this is considered a full bodied smoke than I may have found my home. The smoke was full but "as smooth as butta".

Crack!! goes the sound of another Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

I love the fall as it gives me the excuse to drink nice heavy Stout's. Although the molasses in them acts like a laxitive to me so I'll pay for this tomorrow.

As I continued to smoke I had two thoughts.

1) Damn I like this cigar
and
2) Smooth & spicy and creamy.

ok three thoughts

3) g-smoke/Gordon is a very generous guy. Thank you again my friend...Once I can top you expect a small bomb.

All in All I enjoyed it greatly...esthetically it wasn't perfect but I loved the flavor and will buy some more for sure...great day in the back yard...thanks again Gordon..

Nice review. I really like this cigar with it's smooth full bodied flavor. Haven't had any burn issues with mine but I am sure that will come someday.

Interesting and entertaining review. Well done! However, how did the beer pair with the cigar?

Nice review! I will have to add this to the list of Pepins that I have to try. I also get the looks from most people around me when I am smoking. I just think about how much I am enjoying it and what they are missing out on.

The beer paired very well with the cigar...the extra smooth taste of the stout and the spicy , peppery taste of the smoke mixed well together..

Awesome review, Franco... Love the visuals and the fairy tale digressions.

Sorry this DPG didn't burn well for you. Truthfully, I have had a few that have given me weird burns too. Could be my humi setup within which these smokes have rested. Not really sure.

I do know that this very same smoke is the first Pepin that really got me off my chair and ready to pull out my credit card. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
