We wont know the real specifics until he gets here on June 16th.

Its a unique blend made just for us. It has the smoothness of the JJ with the power of the Blue.
Got myself a box of these beauties, hard to keep my hands off of them. Then again I'm probably
one of the biggest Pepin whores out there.

Oh well I guess I will just have to smoke them all myself :thumbs:

Honestly this is an awesome cigar, very spicy right up front and mellows to a
very rich full bodied cigar in the true Pepin tradition.

Its not that no one wants them, its that $180 is a lot to drop on a box of smokes that they don't know anything about.

I would really love to have some on hand. I'm trying to work it out so I can attend the event itself and if so I'll be making purchases there. So that's why I haven't jumped on this. Saving the bank roll for the event, hopefully I can attend.
 
I've smoked one already and its a damn good cigar. :thumbs: Just more for us in the KC area that appreciates good smokes. :p

Were going to do a virtual event deal on these the Friday before the event.

The Outlaw will post the details but you're gonna get hand rolled freebies when you buy these.

It will be a buy 3 get a hand roll, so a box will get you 8 free hand rolls.

Im not 100% on what the minimum will be, but I will find out later today and let you all know.

Maybe I can get Kendall to let a few 5-ers go beforehand so some people can get a taste of these fine smokeables.

When is the event, and which Friday are you going to have the special on....??

Got in on some of DP's handrolls from a local event here in WA state, thanks to a generous BOTL. I may well want to take you up on that box offer..... :cool:

The event is the 16th of this month, the day before we will take preorders.
These orders will be filled at the end of the event on Saturday. First come first serve until all orders are filled or we run out of product.
It will be run just like this (example)

The full details will be posted early next week on this deal.
 
I called OutlawD Thursday and purchased a couple. They came in today and I had the good fortune to smoke one tonight.

Construction, appearance, and pre-light draw were what you would expect from a Pepin. Ash was white or VERY light grey and got to two inches before I rolled it off.

Taste started off much like a Don Pepin Blue but instead of building in strength, as I have found blues to do, it mellowed slightly. After the first two inches it reminded me of a Padilla Achilles but with a little bit more going on, if that makes any sense.

I enjoyed the heck out of it and will be ordering many more once the special starts the end of this week.

While I am at it, my budget is a bit tight to buy a whole box but if someone wants to do a split please let me know.

If for any reason the person I split with decides they don't like them, I will buy the rest of the box from them in a couple weeks.
