Partagas Edicion Limitada Piramides

OK. So by now I am sure you read the reviews that Dawg and Jingles posted from Saturday night. We were all at OneOff in York, PA. It is the bar/lounge that is located in the Yorktown Hotel; the site of our wedding reception this summer. We figured we should break it in!!

I smoked a 2003 Partagas EL Piramide; a fabulous cigar. The torpedo was suberbly constructed with a perfect draw. The flavor onset was immediate was medium to full bodied with complex woody flavors. These flavors were further enhanced by the Six Grapes Vintage Port that I had along with the cigar.

The smoke was thick and complex; yet gentle on the palate (that's for you Dawg). The burn was even throughout, requiring no corrections. The final third of the cigar featured some warm and sweet notes that I was unable to properly identify. It never became warm until the ash hit my fingertips!!

Overall, a great smoke!

Wasn't the Partagas Piramide EL 2001? The HdM was 2003.

I must concur with golfgar on this.
Party Piramides EL were originally released 2000. Re-released in 2001. EL Bands on the original release do not have a year printed on them. Subsequent EL years have the year printed. I'm sure someone else an chime in on the later re-release years if any. I've seen only the orginal and 2001.

This is not an "Edicion Limitada" in the true sense of the word. These are Limited Edition Pyramids that were only released in Canada. I have one as well, but haven't smoked it yet. I can take some pictures if anyone is interested, but there is a band that does say "Edicion Limitada 2003". Again, so there is no confusion, this is not an Partagas EL 2003, but a limited edition pyramid released in Canada. Do a Google search for more info - you can still find them for sale some places. Hope this helps...
