Pardon Delicias Maduro and Opus X Power Ranger

I smoked the Padron yesterday. Man it was good. I really can't believe it's a base-level stick. I can't describe the flavor but all I can say is that it's sublime. Medium in nic-kick (just right for me) and not sweet like some maduros. Just right.

Also noticed the flavor didn't get all gross towards the end. this is the forst cigar that I have literally smoked til I burned my fingers. I swear I woulda used a roch clip if I had one (no not really ).

I also had my first xXx power ranger tonight. I am still queasy ???

Everybody says it, and it's true. They pack a punch. Wow.

These things DO get super-strong as they burn down. As if they aren't strong enough to begin with.

A note: At first it didn't want to stay lit, and the burn was very uneven. I used a "Dick cut" and I noticed there was a dark area in the middle of the cut, like tar buildup, when I was 2/3 through.

Its when you make a diagonal cut instead of a straight across one.

A dick cut is when you cut the cap at an angle instead on straight across. Supposedly if you place the angled end toward your tounge you get more flavor on the draw. Lew Rothman coined the phrase after watching a friend cut his cigar that way. The story is at the JRs website Cigar 101.
