well, some time ago I did an ISO for a Padron Millenium Maduro. Someone came thru for me and a deal was struck. This thing has been sitting since, waiting for the right moment. That moment came the second Devin made available some more of these bad boys to those of us lucky enough to post fast enough! I called my neighbor, told him to come over and let's herf! He brought a Cohiba Sigle VI that I had gifted to him previously that he was saving. So with out further ado...

For your viewing pleasure...

This thing was nice... looked good, felt good, smelled good... what else can I say? I clipped the cap by scoring the edge then flipping the cap off (like many, my new favorite method). A draw showed a nice, slightly easy draw. The taste was all Padron... tasty! Putting flame to it was a joy - an even burn started quickly! And the first puff proved another Padron feature I love... tons upon tons of smoke.

Now here's where my reviews really suck. The flavor? The Taste? I have no idea... I cannot pinpoint flavors and tell you if it was pepper, leather, cedar, watermelon or candy apples. All I know is, I liked it! It had a similar flavor profile like the Anni '64 and the Serie 26, but somewhat different- definatley not the same. But along the same lines. And if it changed thoughout the smoke I haven't the faintest idea... I usually don't!

I smoked this thing right down to the nub! I didn't get the last little bit in a photo as I was having enough trouble keeping it in my fingers! But everything about this cigar was as I suspected - great construction, great draw, tons of smoke, smooth taste that never got hot or bitter, the ash was nice and light grey/white-ish and stayed on tight, and just yummy yummy yummy. It also lasted quite awhile. I'm not a clock watcher, but I'd have to say a good 2 hours was enjoyed!

So the final thing is the price and availablity - it's not like this is a daily smoker! But being lucky enough to have one (anda few more coming) it will be nice to pull one out on certain occasions, or maybe hand gift one or two.

But I cannot wait to smoke another one...

Nice review Jim! I can't wait to try one out.... very shortly

Jim, can't fault a man for loving a good cigar. Enjoyable review though not as good as the real thing! Ah, I can smell it from here.....

Great review. The pictures make it look even better.

This one is on my short list of "absolutely must try" smokes.

Padron produces some of the best cigars I've had to date.

Very nice review man, it was nice to read it!

Jim, Jim, Jim, You have to learn to always have a toothpick in your pocket, it really helps with nubbing process ;)

Nice review mate.
For some reason I am unable to view the photos.
I will be trying one of these real soon(Fingers crossed).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these.

Any Padrón tobacco with this kind of age on it (7 years as a cigar plus 3-4 years as leaf) is a good thing. The fact that it is a millennium blend makes it all that much sweeter :)

Jim,

Nice review and pictures, it looks like you had the pups attention too!

I have one resting just waiting for the weather here to warm up a little, so I can enjoy it without suffering hypothermia.

Jim, it's all of the above - thanks for the review.

I love the Padron 64 and 26. This one though, is a stand alone. Maybe, as Moki points out, it's because the leaf is 4 years old and the stick 7 and it's a millennium blend...
It's a great smoke, one we are fortunate to get our hands on, there were only so many made!

Tell you what, Jim. I wasn't going to make such a rich offer, but I'll trade you an aged 5er of banana Phillies for a 5er of them silly old Millenniums with the watermelon taste. Just PM me and we'll set it up.

Great review, Jim... Now I can't stop drooling.

Great review Jim, loved the photos. I have one of these resting, but I don't plan on smoking it for quite some time, or until like you did......get my hands on more.

Glad you enjoyed it.

This was my favorite part of the review -- talking down to the common man like myself. Flavour? Taste? Bah I say! My reviews always come out as "a very good tobacco flavour!"

Nice work Jim, looked like a great smoke.

Great review! And thanks for the small photos. Those of us on dial-up appreciate it. I'm also glad I'm not the only one to taste watermelon and candy apples in these beauties :D

very nice, I just picked up a 1926 yesterday so I am looking very forward to smoking it when it isn't so damn windy out.

Nice review amigo! I was thinking about burning one for my B-day but another BOTL here recently changed my mind. Looks like you and the dogs enjoyed it

Nice review. I think the Padron lines age better than any other NC brand. To further agree with Moki, you had a seven year old Padron, which means it was great even if it was a Londres, then on top of the age you had the best blend they have ever come up with. That means you enjoyed the best of the best. I ooooze with jealousy

Great review, thank you. I look forward to finally blazing up what I have now that reinforcements are coming due to Devin's most excellent group buy!

I say you must learn how to spell "Millennium"

I still prefer the 1926s over these.
