first off, thank for inviting me to your pass Bro.
glad it was the first one of 2004.

And due to my promise to Moki, this is my first online review I have written (so do not judge it too hard :) )

I will start off by saying am not a big PAM smoker. Have had the 2000, 3000 before. Good cigars, even better with the low price (a/k/a wow, people can make good cigars and not charge a lot? Carlito [Fuente] you might want to read that. :D )

anyway,

wrapper: perfect :D
this was one of the best wrappers I have seen, including ISOMs.
a nice dark chocolate brown little grainy/toothy, but perfect. no veins.
the foot was a little rugged, not lazer cut, but nice a shaggy-ish end. it was box-pressed, a size I do normally smoke, but that really changed nothing for me.

Burn: almost perfect, :)
it took a little work to get going strong, but burned almost perfect afterwards.

Ash: snow white :0
the whitest ash I have ever seen, ever. like fresh pwder snow.

Draw: loose/light. ;)
only downside of this cigar. maybe it is a Padron thing, have not smoked a lot of these, esp. the PAMs, but, at least to me felt like I had to puff often to keep it going. way too loose for the first few minutes, but then it picked up and was okay after, still a little too loose for my tastes, but better. thought that was a little weird as it felt full (?) throughout, no soft spots and nicely packed

Taste: pretty d@mn good. :D
med. to full smoke, a little sweet, like a hint of dark chocolate, just a little tho.
had some taste of leather-y-ness (yeah a cA review thing to say, but it is what I tasted.) there was come coffee too, either a dark french roast or like choc.-covered coffee beans (hint guys: girls love these, a lot., the beans that is). could kinda tell that the tobacco had been aged for a bit.

would it be worth it to buy in the store? yeah I'd buy one, always up to trying more types.
A second? maybe, will smoke the other for sure in 2-3 months to see how it goes.
more? prob not, was over all a good to great smoke, but there are others I like a little more right now.
tho I am now more interested in the PAMs, will have to try and get some in the future.

Just putting a plug in here for the Padron Magnum Maduro. 2 hours of smoking bliss (ie..'A' size)... and even better if you can keep your hands off of it for a coupla years. :)

forgot to mention that this is one heck of an A$$ kicker!

gave me prob. the strongest buzz in my smokin' life!

forget LGC's and JdeN Antanos and whatnot, this cigar will make you want to take a nap. not for the light [a/k/a macanudo] smoker

Nice review. I've got one in reserve for a special occassion. Trying to give it a year in the humi though :0 Unlikely that will last.

The tobacco in that cigar is 10 years old -- I doubt aging it another year will change it much ;)
