I am not sure what happened to this cigar prior to it getting to moki, and again prior to it getting to me. This WAS I am sure a very nice cigar at someoint(drawing from experience with Padron's quality) but this one was abused, no doubt about it.
At first glance it looked good, with a slight moddled cap but other than that not bad at all. Upon closer inspection while preparing to smoke it, I notice several cracks in the wrapper, and the oily sheen that is a norm with Padron sticks, was AWOL on this one. I tasted the cap prior to cutting it and found none of the tobac taste I expected. It was dry and tasteless. I clipped it with my Xi and it cracked badly. (this cigar was in my humi with my other perfectly humidified smokes mind you) There were two large hard stems visible at the head under the cap, but as they did not effect the draw, I left them alone.
I tested the draw (prelight) and it was like sucking on a straw. It was way to easy and had no flavor. I lit the foot and as soon as it lit, there was audible cracking :0  . The flavor of this cigar was harsh, bitter and not at all up to par.
I smoked it down to my fingers, there is really nothing to write about until it hit the last 4th of the cigar, then I got some leather, earth and spice. Still was not even up to the standard of the Padron Thousand line, but at least it was flavor.
My feeling on this smoke is that it was not taken care of properly. At some point PMM serial # 098230 was a victom of Criminal Neglect. There is little doubt in my mind that this cigar has seen DRY times Much a pitty seeing as how I am equally sure this should have been a great smoke.
Oh yeah: Andrew my brother, thank you much for the Opportunity to try these, sometime I will do it again, with one that still has some oil in it.
