I'm a newbie, so I thought I would introduce myself by posting a cigar review,
so here goes! :)

Nothing fancy here, just an every-day smoke. I picked up a five pack of the
Pardon Maduro Panatelas (7 x 36) the other day (it looked like five dark-brown pencils in the zip lock).

I've had some bad luck with plugged and tough-drawing cigars with this shape
in other brands, so I was pleastantly surprised when I clipped it and got a good
firm draw. Construction was excellent : firm and even with no soft spots. The
wrapper was a nice dark-brown natural maduro (no dye used here!) with a
nice toothy texture.

It sparked up easily and started with pleasant mild flavors of cocoa. This lasted
for inch and a half or so, gradually getting heavier. At about the third inch the
cigar seemed to change flavors like a switch had been flipped. All of a sudden
it was a medium to heavy smoke with slightly spicy leather flavors overlapping
the cocoa. Great flavor ! It kept getting heavier and spicier as it went, finishing
as a real powerhouse. I nubbed it and it left me a little light-headed. Try one of these: you'll be surpised !
