Are those the infamous sticks that cost $105 a stick most places? If so that is a steal.

No Oke, it's not. Same one I found elsewhere for $25 each, but they were Robusto size.

Good deal for the toro pictured which is going for $100 a stick most places, or overpriced and not pictured for the robusto most shops are selling for 25?

???

The above pictures are of the toro.

Here is the robusto:

So confusing with so many 50 year versions.  I did notice that the OP bands don't say Family Reserve like the one from madurotrout.

A close friend of mine who owns a B&M in Miami and who is a large Padron retailer explained the 50th release. There are three versions.

1) Family Reserve 50th, Robusto size, as shown in Madurotrouts post, $25 MSRP
2) 50th Anniversary limited release, toro size, as shown in Famous Smokes post, only available by purchasing complete $5300 humidor. These have cream colored bands and the serial numbers on each cigar actually correspond with the serial number range shown on the outside of the humidor.
3) 50th Anniversary REPLACEMENT edition for registered owners of humidors. Not for sale to general public and only available from the retailer who originally sold the complete humidor. Bands will not be the same as original release to differentiate the two. Padron is tight lipped as far as when these will be released. I am aquainted with a registered owner who already contacted Padron seeking his replacements claiming he smoked all the original release....no reply from Padron to date.

I immediately went on Famous Smokes site to confirm $40 price tag. It is confirmed on website but shows "not available" for purchase. I will be calling them bright and early tomorrow. $40 a stick I can swallow to try a few out.

So then it is the (in)famous Padrons we have been waiting on.  Good to know.

Thanks for the wisdom. :). May be making that call myself.

I tried calling today to confirm but could not get ahold of a sales rep. I guess I'll be trying again tomorrow as well.

UPDATE:  These bad boys flew off the shelves yesterday and with the current amount left, the store is limiting sales to in-store purchases only.  I apologize for any inconvenience brothers, though there may be a day next week that we will be accepting phone orders again.  Any new developments will be shared here so please check back for updates.  Thanks.

Also, to confirm, yes this is not the Family Reserve.
"Padrón 50th anniversary smoke will be far more rare, and will come packaged in a high-end humidor containing 50 cigars. Each humidor will be numbered, and each cigar in the series will be individually numbered as well. Humidor No. 1, for example, will contain cigars No. 1 through 50.  Individually numbered cigars are very rare. This is only the second time the Padróns have done a cigar in this fashion—the first was the Padrón Millennium. "
