In search for a great cigar at a decent price, I picked up a Padron 2000 (or should I say my wife did, as well as a La Flor Dominica Chisel, an Onyx Reserve, and a Flor de Oliva, God bless that women!!). This is a GOOD cigar!

Pre-Light: Very aromatic, I can only imagine what it is going to taste like when I touch flame to it. I picture a smooth flavor and perfect draw, not too tight, not too loose.

Light: Big surprise, no bitter taste that usually accompanies the lighting of most cigars! The flavor already strikes me as mellow, yet full and satisfying. With a 1\2" of ash so far, very even burn, it is indeed as anticipated a smooth draw, just right. As I draw on this stogie I find myself not wanting to stop drawing! I also find myself not wanting to set it down

Ash: Very light grey, almost white. Firm, and dense, seems to keep the same alignment with the cigar rather then falling over due to gravity.

Taste: Not real good at distinguishing taste yet, but I am reminded of the smell of my Grandpas shop many years ago as a kid where he was always making something out of leather or burning an intricate design into a piece of wood. As the falvor hits my tongue it is quite smooth and creamy, soothing even.

I started off drinking a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper with it, but changed to water not wanting to diminish the wonderful taste this cigar has. My mouth waters anticipating the flavor of the next draw.

Aroma: Very pleasing. Kind of sweet, no bitter or acrid smell from the smoke at all.

Last Half: Starts to develop a little bit of spice. The cigar has been very consistent flavor wise, but this is a nice spice, not a bitter spice.

Finish: Had to quit with about 1\4 , this cigar is kicking my butt! If it weren't so darn good, I would have smoked it a little slower, but hey, now I know for next time!!

Conclusion: This is one heck of a smoke for the 3 bucks and change it cost. I would put it up in the realm of the LGC Serie R Maddie as far as potentcy goes( that one kicked my butt too!), while smoking it though it had such smooth flaovor that I never would have guessed it to be as such. I would rate it high up in my "To Be Smoked Again" list. Enjoyable the whole way through, no bitterness, no touch ups on the burn , burned very even, and the draw was just right. This is not a cigar I would try to turn a friend on to for the first time smoke, but would definetly reccomend it to those who enjoy a sleeper cigar that packs a punch.

Now I can't wait to get my hands on a PAM!!
