Well, since i'm still a rookie at trying new cigars, i'll be doing a few reviews over the next few weeks as i try new ones from my stash (this is fun).
Had about an hour to spare after dinner, so i headed out to the deck w/ a couple fingers of Balvenie Portwood 21 and a Padron 1964 Torpedo. The fumes of the Scotch must have affected me on the cut, i went a little to far and crooked  . Pre-light draw was perfect, very nicely constructed stick, the wrapper looks different than most of my other sticks, not that that's bad.
Light was no worries, produced alot of smoke, and BOOM, a kick of spice hit me along w/ some woodsy flavors and maybe leather (i'm still learning how to describe what i taste), this continued the 1st third of the smoke. Burn was so so, had to make a couple small corrections, probably due to only being a week in the coolidor.
2nd third really mellowed out and produced lots of creamy smoke and flavors, Cedar, cinnamon, chocolate are some of the ones i can describe, really flavorful . Ash stayed on for 1/2 of the smoke, even though it leaned.
last third got kinda stanky, slightly bitter, and my hour was ending, so i bailed partway into the final third.
Overall, good smoke, but not great. This was probably due to the cigar needing some more age on it, especially another few weeks to get to 65% humidity. I think in a month i'll smoke another, and i'm guessing it will be much improved.
