I smoked a Padron 1926 no. 6 this afternoon, and I have to say I did not really care for it. I felt the draw was actually too light with almost no drag. The flavor was good, aged tobacco, but I did not really get anything else the entire cigar. I have smoked mostly cuban Upman no2's the past two years. I have recently smoked Tatuaje Havan VI artistas and Fuente best sellers that i thought were superior to the Padron. Perhaps It is my preference and experience with torpedo/figurados affecting my preference or the high expectations from all the positive comments on these cigars? I have a few more that I will try hopefully they will be more impressive.

That's surprising, almost everyone seems to like those. A loose draw can definitely ruin a cigar though. It's not the norm for these however. Did you smoke the Maduro or the natural. My preference is for the maduro and I'm not usually a big maduro smoker. Definitely give it another try.

The #9 I smoked last week had a loose draw, but I've been smoking primarily Anejo's lately, which I would consider a tighter draw. The draw on the 9 wasn't too loose that it ruined the cigar, just a little looser than I'm used to...I take em tight or loose, either way I find a way to enjoy em!
