OK, so here it is, my first formal review.....
One of our local shops here in C'ville have these guys on special this week; needless to say, they went fast.
I smoke this maduro last night at our favorite cigar location here in town.
What initially struck me was how firm this box-pressed cigar was. The prelight draw was fabulous. The flavor set in on the first draw and the first part of the smoke was creamy and a bit sweet with possibly some chocolate tones. The burn was wonderful as it required no corrections. The ash was firm and grey and the smoke very thick.
The sweet flavors gave way to a different flavor near the middle of the smoke (I am sorry I can't put my finger on what it was; still new at this). The final third gave rise to hints of wood.
The cigar performed tremdously well. I smoked it down to the nub and it never became hot on the lips.
It was my first '26 nd I am definately hooked.
I look forward to hearing what other have to say.....
