The Padrón 1926 Serie No.9 Maduro has been one of my favorite cigars for some time... but it literally has been at least a year or maybe more since I've had one. I decided to revisit them last night while playing poker.

This was the second cigar of the night, it followed closely on the heels of Punch Super Robusto (Asian 2006 ER)... which was pretty good. But now it was time for the Padrón 1926 No.9...

It was like sliding between the supple thighs of fondly remembered former lover... ahhh, it has been too long! The cigar was fantastic... and went extremely well with the cup of coffee I paired with it.

So whatever you will; these cigars will likely always have a place in my rotation.

Mmmmmm...

Was it the last cigar of the night? Or did you finish up your playing while smoking it?

Thanks for the review brother. The 64s are more along my tastes, but I know the 26s seem more dynamic in flavor.

Ended with a Stanford's 90th DC Maximus Churchill #2 -- which was quite good, but I was a little drunk by then. The sweet Cameroon wrapper was memorable, though.

I also like cameroon wrappers with my booze... good choice!

Had a DCM Stanford's 90th with Keystone Raider this week while having a Ketel One Dirty martini and noticed a distinct kick in the cedar flavor after each sip of the tini.........yumm! Maybe the salt of the olive juice created the nice contrast.

I have enjoyed a couple #9's in my limited cigar career and have enjoyed them very much! Actually my first was given to me by you the first night we went to the club... Thanks for giving me champagne taste on a beer budget!!

I still remember the first time I had a #9 Maduro. It was hands down the best cigar I've yet to have.

Nice to see Andrew posting reviews again, and no doubt a cigar that is tough to beat. After all it is a Padron  from the #0000's to the 1926 not a bad cigar in their line up.

Dang....what am I missing? I've had one Serie 26 that I thought was worth the money and the rest were definitely not.

Some guys like girls with big tits. Some guys like girls with nice asses. Some guys like skinny chicks. Some guys like fat chicks. Some guys like other guys.

Don't feel bad that you're a homo, CigarStone, tastes vary! ;) ;)

As someone who is very homophobic I find that totally uncalled for  ;)

Been smoking a lot of Padron's lately; definitely one of my favorites.

Great comparison Moki, I have been smoking a ton of Padron lately. I have actually been trading all my opus and fuente stuff for Padron cigars. I just can't seem to get enough. From the low end to the top Padron rules.

Jeff, you know what they say about guys who are real homophobic :sign: We're opening the closet door for ya bro...

Just playin man...put down the knife. :)

These are great cigars in Maduro or the Natural. I make it a habit to keep at least a few of each.
For me, the 1926 seems to be a little more round and complex than the 1964 with the 1964 being a little more deliberate. I love them both.

Not that I'm calling you a homo simply because you don't like this cigar... :)
