Damn!! Those are some great prices

1932 Lanceros are calling my name pretty loudly right now :whistling:

Not sure what happened with Gonz, but I used these guys recently and everything went fine. A good deal too

NVM figured it out myself

I know Gonz and others have had bad experiences with these guys, but I ordered a box of the '32 Lanceros Wed. and got them by FedEx today. Box was packed good and the cigars came in better shape than some of the Toros MT received a little while ago. Only bad thing is some rat-tails are knocked off. Too much room in the box for these things to move around imo....

I sure hope these draw alright.........

I've seen your buying pattern young, I knew you were going to buy them.

That does look like a lot of space for the cigars to move up and down. I wonder if thats the norm with all the Signature boxes. That sucks because I love the pigtails on the lanceros. Well, you clip it off anyway right. Glad you got them OK. G1

Received the Robusto's today and the bands were all over the place and yes there was a little extra room in the box approximately three of the sticks had wrapper damage that would not allow smoking without repairing or attempting to repair. They seemed dry even though I used the fedex express shipping for an additional $10, the box is in the Humi now at 67% so I'll let them sit for a week or two and recheck.

I have not been happy with the 1932 I've received except for the Robusto from Atuck and the singles from Outlaw which were both freakin' off the hook.

Wilkey

Yikes. Did I just type "off the hook?"

Just talked with customer service of this vendor and they are sold out of the robusto but would gladly refund my money for the damaged sticks if I send the damaged sticks back to them. This is good, but I really want to give this cigar glue a try so I may just hang on to them and see how this stuff works.

I think this new example of members having problems with the Padilla 1932 line shows some insight into how the cigars are presented and packaged.

1). They are not wrapped in plastic. Most NC brands are wrapped in some form of plastic as protection against drying out during shipping. At least two vendors have shipped boxes to members of this board without covering them in plastic. I believe Padilla does this because they like how current Cuban boxes look (ie, no plastic). I think communication between buyer and vendor can prevent this if it is caught in time. Padilla can communicate this need to authorized retailers of their product, but I don’t know of a way for them to inform non-authorized retailers of the issue. End result, the Padilla 1932s arrive dried out and people focus their anger on Padilla and not on the vendor, who probably isn’t an authorized retailer. Contact your vendor and ask them to wrap the box in plastic prior to shipping.

2). The boxes contain a major space between the cigars and the wood. This allows the cigars to shift during shipping and damage their wrappers. Padilla can easily remedy this problem by adding padding into the boxes before they ship them out to vendors. This issue must be resolved or more people will shy away from the Padilla 1932s. For now, I think any one considering purchasing a box of Padilla 1932s should contact their vendor prior to shipping and ask them to open and inspect the box before shipping and include extra padding as needed in order to protect the cigars during shipping.

3). There are several other issues that have been raised regarding construction on the Padilla 1932 lancero. Several people have said the lanceros they received were completely plugged. I traded for a five pack of Padilla 1932 lanceros with someone who found a large number of them to be plugged. I’ve smoked one thus far and found it to have an exceedingly tight draw. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this particular problem?

I think these are the major issues that have been raised at this time.

I don't think this issue is limited to the 1932's. I had the same issue with a box of blue labels, and at least 4 of the sticks were badly damaged at the head, and most took some sort of foot damage.

Yep I thought of this after I received the box and definitely words to live by with regards to the 1932's atleast

Padilla 1932 Churchill-------$ 181.00

Man $7.24 a stick for this and I just paid $13 for the same stick at my B&M. I've never had one before so it's still cheaper for me than a whole box. :) But this price is nice.

My B&M just got them in and even at that price most of the boxes were half empty. I wonder if they hold some sticks out when they set the boxes out. It would make for good marketing. People see them out and new and mostly gone would pick some up before they run out. :D
