oh yay, my first review post!
Now while i'm not quite sure of the specifics of wrapper type, filler type (it's camacho so it's all from the same valley!), etc, i did write an extensive review on the experience that i'd like to share with you all before this cigar is unavailable. This is referring to the exclusive event cigar from last month which to my understanding IS NOT the same stick that comes in their 9 cigar exclusive box. I don't have one infront of me to tell exactly (working on it!) but it's about 5-6 inches long and pretty thick, roughly 54 ring guage i'd guess.
now verbatim straight from my journal:
One word: awesome. I'd like to start by just saying that this one tasted superb. The initial taste was a very earthy flavor of burning wood with a hint of spice to it. After the first inch or so it settled into a woodsy flavor with hints of cocoa that eventually came to dominate as the first half burnt out. The flavor wasn't chocolate, it was very dark as i said, like cocoa, just barely sweet. Around the halfway point it totally switched gears and evolved into a very nutty flavor, something between Macadamia and almond, still with hints of cocoa.
This was a very robust stick that remained earthly all the way through. It was only moderately strong but full in body. I found construction to be rather poor, with the cigar wanting to unravel at the head and burn to be pretty inconsistent. Toward the end it kept wanting to go out and would tunnel into the wrapper. I paid it little mind however as the flavor was so good, I could but up with burn problems all day! It put out copious amounts of smoke and had a warm, homely scent that reminded me of my passed grandfather; it was quite comforting. I'm very happy with this one and will buy more.
There ya are gents. Highly recommended. Hope you dig my review.
