Orlando Herf (This Friday)

I know this is short notice but a few of us locals here in Sunny Central Florida are gettin' together this Friday, November 12th around 7:30 pm at Cigarz in Universal's City Walk. There will be a mixed group from serveral boards, ie. CF, CD, CP, ect. A couple of good people from Texas are in town for a week and will be there as well. Drop me a PM or an email if your interested and want to partake. Joe (jgohlke) if your up and about, give me a call and come on down for some deserving smokes...... :thumbs: :thumbs:

Hey Will, Just let me know when your gettin' down here and we can meet up for a couple of ceegars at either the Corona Cigar Company or Cigarz on Universal's City Walk or one of the other fine cigar bars in town. I might even drag Joe (jgohlke) that lives right down the road from me as well. Same goes for any other brother of the leaf. If and when you come down here to the Orlando / Daytona area for vacation / business, let me know and we can enjoy a few nice ceegars together....... :thumbs:

Well, I picked up Joe (jgohlke) around 6:30 pm and we headed down to Cigarz. We had a great time, enjoyed some super ceegars, (The new Trinadad Reyes (sp) Cuban), LFD and then finished off the night with a La Aurora Preferidos 1903 Ltd Reserve #2. The company was great and got to see some ole' freinds of mine from Texas that have a time share at WestGate that come here every November....... :thumbs:

When I was in Orlando during the Summer I went to Cigarz (and to Sosa's in Downtown Disney).

At Cigarz I picked up a couple of DC Maximus and some Davidoff MBs. Cool place. Friendly and knowledgeable. The bar wasn't half bad either. We sat outside at the top of the stairs leading to the parking lots. Was definitely a place I would visit again when in Orlando.

Hey, we had big fun! My first HERF and my first night out in about 2 months. It was long overdue and much appreciated. I still wasn't driving then (recovering from foot surgery), Charlie was kind enough to pick me and deliver me back home.

I didn't bring any cigars figuring I'd buy something interesting there. Between Charlie and his friend John, I smoked two excellent freebies and brought a couple more home (of which I've smoked two of them - both excellent - Thanks Charlie!).

Funny thing, I'm not much of a social guy, but I managed to run into some guys I know from the Central Florida Home Brew Club who where there judging beers for the Universal Beer Festival. About half of them smoke cigars! Who knew? Of course, they had recommendations for a good beer to go with my good smoke.

It was a night of good beer, good cigars, good fun and great folks. I really enjoyed myself and stayed out way past my bedtime. I'm looking forward to going back.
