Yesterday was a good day for me, I had a Padron 1926 40'th anni and later in the day I had an Opus X. But for now im gonna focus on the Opus X. Not sure which one it was, but it was about 5.25 in length and the width of about the size of a dime or maybe a little bit bigger.

Appearance and construction was great, I couldn't see any flaws. I clipped it, and it had a perfect draw for me.

The 1/3 of the cigar was very pleasant for me, full of spice. But not at all irritating to the throat. Reminded me of a VSG in the 1/3, which I love btw lol.

The very beginning of the 2/3 was not to my likeing, it developed a wood taste to it. and for some reason evry time a cigar go's that way I find it displeasing, but thats just me. If you like the wood taste then this one should be right up your alley. It wasn't harsh or anything like that, so it wasn't unsmokable by any means

After the woodiness of the 2/3 I almost had enough of it and I almost tossed it, but thankfully I decided to see what else this cigar was capable of. So I stayed with it untill the very end. The last third of it was definitely my favorite. It devolped a roasty sweetness to it, one that I dont get from many cigars. I was thinking it tasted like caramel or maybe even a toasted marshmellow (feel free to laugh as I was doing while thinking about it lol)

Appearance 5/5 stars or whatever you like rate with lol

Flavor 4/5 (would've been 5/5 if it wasn't for the wood, again if you like wood flavors then this would be perfect for you)

Value 3/5 (I think mine was around 11 or 12 dollars, I think it could've been cheaper. I think there's better bargains for that kind of cash.)

You can send me all your Opus X out of the humidor. I promise to give them a great home. :D In reality, many Opus will have a woody taste to them. Some have a alcohol taste that I've run into and I do not care for this characteristic generally. Many also have a raspberry notes as well. Opus X isn't for everyone. Definitely sounds like a young Opus X. Next time age one for a couple of years if you can find out which size it was and then compare a review to it. See how it stacks up to this experience. I enjoy both young and aged Opus which depends on which mood I am currently in that dictates which I will smoke.

I would send you a few, but I only buy singles as of right now. Im more then likely gonna try a few more, I enjoyed this one. And would love to compare the others to it. YUMMY I love Rasberries, I must know which ones taste like them? or do they all usually taste like them?

I have plenty of Opus X. A lot of them I find have a raspberry taste. If I was you, try the bigger ones like the Reserve d'Chateau for example. Since taste is subjective, you may never pick up on any raspberry notes.

I will try to remember that one the next time I purchase one, but I cant imagine smoking a bigger one. The one I had made me a little dizzy, lol.

The bigger ones tend to be more mild and don't mind me, I know absolutely nothing about Opus X. Nothing at all...:whistling:  :D
One of the best times to smoke any Opus X is after you had a full meal. Remember that smaller the Opus X, the stronger it tends to be
while the larger ones mellow out. And if you age one of the smaller Opus X, it also tends to mellow out over the course of years sitting
in your humidor.
