Yesterday was a good day for me, I had a Padron 1926 40'th anni and later in the day I had an Opus X. But for now im gonna focus on the Opus X. Not sure which one it was, but it was about 5.25 in length and the width of about the size of a dime or maybe a little bit bigger.
Appearance and construction was great, I couldn't see any flaws. I clipped it, and it had a perfect draw for me.
The 1/3 of the cigar was very pleasant for me, full of spice. But not at all irritating to the throat. Reminded me of a VSG in the 1/3, which I love btw lol.
The very beginning of the 2/3 was not to my likeing, it developed a wood taste to it. and for some reason evry time a cigar go's that way I find it displeasing, but thats just me. If you like the wood taste then this one should be right up your alley. It wasn't harsh or anything like that, so it wasn't unsmokable by any means
After the woodiness of the 2/3 I almost had enough of it and I almost tossed it, but thankfully I decided to see what else this cigar was capable of. So I stayed with it untill the very end. The last third of it was definitely my favorite. It devolped a roasty sweetness to it, one that I dont get from many cigars. I was thinking it tasted like caramel or maybe even a toasted marshmellow (feel free to laugh as I was doing while thinking about it lol)
Appearance 5/5 stars or whatever you like rate with lol
Flavor 4/5 (would've been 5/5 if it wasn't for the wood, again if you like wood flavors then this would be perfect for you)
Value 3/5 (I think mine was around 11 or 12 dollars, I think it could've been cheaper. I think there's better bargains for that kind of cash.)
